Tasty Fish July 20, 2006 R. Carter (New Mexico, USA) 24 out of 25 found this review helpful
No need to pay more when Reese's are the same as pricier brands. Plus I found no tiny grit and no damaged sardines.
You'll avoid busting off the ring when opening the can by bending the ring so it touches the can rim and then pulling up.
Unsurpassed flavor and quality December 22, 2006 D. Ruhlman (PA United States) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have not found any sardines that have exceeded the pleasant flavor and texture of the Reese skinless and boneless sardines in olive oil. The cans open easily and consistently, in my opinion these sardines are my absolute choice for value and taste, second to none.
I lowered my rating to 3 stars January 20, 2008 amazonfan 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I only eat the skinless and boneless sardines. These Reese brand are excellent tasting. Can't beat the price either. I ordered 3 cases and saved another $10 from Reese along with free shipping. This makes my cost per can about half of the price at the grocery store. Omega oils, fewer contaminents than eating tuna or other high on the food chain seafood. Sardines are a perfect food for me.
Addendum 9-9-09. I am lowering my rating to 3 stars for the second case I am using right now. The fish are too big, too meaty and fishy tasing. I can't believe the change from the first case I ordered. Amazon doesn't let me reduce the star rating, but it's 3 now and not 5.
Best Sardine Fillets In My Market Area June 1, 2007 Una Seckler (Chuckey, TN United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are the best tasting fillets in my local grocery stores and almost always the cheapest too. The oil isn't as strong as some brands, stray bones are rare, and the fillets are fairly consistant in size. The only drawback is the tin is very soft and if you squeeze too hard when opening, it tends to spit on you. So just hold it down on a table as you pull it open. This is a nice, smoky, fishy sardine without being horribly stinky or too salty.
Found them August 13, 2007 Orchidblossom (Bay Area, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was very upset when the sardines seemed to disappear from the shelves of the markets around me. I looked for a couple of months with no success. Finally my husband suggested trying the internet and there they were on Amazon and for a good price no less. Glad I found them, thank you.
