I had no adverse reactions eating the entire can. Usually i feel a bit ill after eating canned fish. The best canned fish i have ever had. The one i had says smoked on the side. It says the fish is caught in Maine so i was happy it was from colder waters in the north.

After reading the rave reviews, I was very disappointed. The kippers were broken into pieces, overly salty. I would not recommend them.
