5 out of 5 stars Best tuna in oil ever !!   October 9, 2009
Simtare (the great Midwest)
I had tried many brands of tuna packed in olive oil. This is the best I have ever had. Perfect in a sandwich, salad, or straight out of the can. I have purchased 4 cases and it has been perfect everytiime.

5 out of 5 stars Crown Prince is my favorite brand of canned seafood.   February 21, 2010

I've tried many Crown Prince products and I've always felt they are amongst the best in canned seafood. This tuna is no different. Obvious difference in quality compared to lesser, cheaper brands.

5 out of 5 stars Hard to figure   July 26, 2010

Another reviewer laments that this Tuna has gone up in price dramatically over the last few years. I find the company's action of raising the price to be at odds with their claim of the tuna being dolphin safe.

If they are actually able to keep their tuna safe from the predation of savage dolphins, then they should be able to catch much more tuna at once, and this efficiency should serve to keep the price down.

Every time I fix tuna salad for a sandwich, I shudder and say a little thanks that my tuna was not co-opted to the insatiable appetite of some ravenous dolphin. Why can't they go chase their own fish?

(Disclaimer for dolphin lovers. Yes, this is tongue in cheek. I like them too. But I like them more if they are after some fish I don't eat too. Yes, that's still a joke. Unless they eat my tuna. Still joking, seriously. Well, not seriously, because that wouldn't be joking. I have no good way to end this. Hopefully I'll just fall asleep soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

4 out of 5 stars Good but pricey   October 27, 2009

This is a very good tasting tuna. What I cannot believe though is how much the price has increased over the last two years. I used to be able to by this from amazon for 47.79 and now it is over 80.00, thus I do not buy as much or as often as I used too.

Ah last, tuna in oil, why is this so hard to find I wonder. Nice flavor.
